Discover Your Community at TUSA

Be part of a supportive, student-led community at the University of Tasmania. TUSA connects students through clubs, events, advocacy, services and spaces designed to help you get the most out of uni life.

Founded in 1899, the Tasmanian University Student Association (TUSA) is the peak body representing UTAS students across Hobart, Launceston, Burnie, Rozelle and online. We’re run by students, for students — with student leaders at the table whenever decisions are made that affect our community.

As a UTAS student, you can access:

Representation and advocacy on issues that matter to you
Independent support, welfare services and financial assistance
80+ Clubs and Societies and student-led events

Student spaces, meeting rooms and community facilities
Inclusive, safer spaces including Queer and Parenting rooms

TUSA student leaders are elected by students and accountable to students. We work independently when it matters, and collaboratively with the University to achieve better outcomes for the student community. Join TUSA and be part of your student community.

We acknowledge the Palawa People as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of Lutruwita/Trouwerner (Tasmania), and the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation, Traditional Owners of the land on which our Rozelle campus stands. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
