Opens in a new tab- The TUSA State Council is pleased to announce the establishment of the TUSA Equity Committee, an initiative dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supporting environment for all students at the University of Tasmania (UTAS).
- This committee, chaired by TUSA Equity President Mark Warrington, and reporting directly to the TUSA State Council, will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the voices of marginalised students are heard and their needs are appropriately addressed.
- The creation of the TUSA Equity Committee highlights our commitment to advocating for the rights and well-being of all students, particularly those from marginalised communities.
- This committee will serve as a platform for addressing issues related to discrimination, equity and inclusion across UTAS.
- It will offer a mechanism where ideas and proposed policies can be scrutinised by representatives from the student communities these policies are intended to support.
