Ever wanted to see Tasmania’s wildlife in action? Join us for 2.5 hours of nighttime feeding fun!
You will enter our animals’ world and experience hand-feeding weird and wonderful creatures like Eastern quolls, tawny frogmouths and sugar gliders. You will also be able to help your guide feed the Tassie devils their dinner!
In fact, you are going to help feed almost all of our animals. First it’s dinner time for our daylight dwellers and then the nocturnal animals get their breakfast. A special highlight is meeting our mob of friendly Forester kangaroos.
You are also going to meet some incredible survivors as many of our animals are recovering from injury or are orphans. We will show you how you are helping us get them back into the wild.
It’s going to be a journey of incredible (and often very moving) fun.
Itinerary:
Sunday, October 6, 2024
4.00 pm: Depart from TUSA building carpark, 1 Churchill Avenue, Sandy Bay
4.30 pm: Arrive/Depart from Uni hopper stop on Brisbane Street, Hobart city
5.15 pm: Arrive at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary
5.30 pm: Tour starts
8.00 pm: Tour concludes
8.45 pm: Back at original meeting points
What to bring:
We advise bringing warm clothes, comfortable shoes and spare batteries (and memory cards) for your camera!
Only under our UTE program, ticket is $25 for the entire experience (normally valued at over $100). Light catering will be provided. Open to currently enrolled UTAS students only. Limited slots available.
