A community dinner fighting food waste
Eat Well Tasmania and TUSA invite you to eat it all — a social, community dinner celebrating local produce and fighting food waste. We’re wasting nearly 4kgs of food at home every week. Food waste can taste great, let us show you.
When: Wednesday October 23rd
When: 5.30 pm – 7.30 pm
Where: UTAS Hobart Apartments courtyard, 157 Elizabeth St, Hobart
There’s going to be a 3-course dinner curated by food waste advocate and chef Tom Wescott, plus great vibes with candle lit dinner tables, a warm, balmy spring evening (fingers crossed) and a jazz quartet making you dance.
You’ll leave us full of food and waste fighting tips because we’ve lined up some waste-wise friends for great conversations:
Jeff McClintock, UTAS Community Garden Coordinator
Jay Patey, Founder & Baker PigeonWhole Bakers
Tom Wescott, Chef & Food Waste Advocate
Student tickets: $5 per ticket
Non-student tickets: $20 per ticket*
*100% of the ticket price will be donated to TUSA to support their Food Hub program, feeding food insecure tertiary students. See extra ticket options if you’d like to donate a little extra.
Also, BYO Tupperware container in case there are tasty leftovers for you to take home (it’s a #zerowaste event)
Dietary Information: As this is a large scale event, we are unable to cater for individual dietary requirements. All meals will be vegetarian, with gluten-free options available; however, we cannot guarantee no cross-contamination, as these meals are prepared in the same kitchen as regular meals. See more info in terms and conditions below.
The eat it all dinner is brought to you by Eat Well Tasmania and TUSA and funded by the City of Hobart and Healthy Tasmania.
